Yoga Nidra, 61 Point Blue Star
The origin of these exercises can be traced to two ancient Sanskrit scriptures. The traditional name for the 61 points exercise is ‘Shavyatra’, which means, traveling through the corpse. In these exercises, the student mentally travels, systematically, throughout the body.
These exercises are not commonly taught to beginning students, but rather to students who have had training and experience in diaphragmatic breathing and the Systematic Relaxation. It is advised that training and experience in these should be considered the necessary preparations.
